ضیا تیرا غبارِ تن جو فرشِ بوترابؔ ہو
یہ ذرا آفتاب ہو یہ خاک ماہتاب ہو
Zia, tera ghubār-e-tan jo farsh-e-Bū-Turāb ho —
ye zarra āftāb ho, ye khāk māhtāb ho.
A humble prayer: that the dust of the body, laid as a floor before the door of Ali (Bū-Turāb), might be so blessed that a mere speck becomes a sun, and the dust itself, a moon.
