Sālāna Urs Mubarak · سالانہ عرس مبارک

The Annual Urs

The yearly Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Agha Syed Inayat Ali Shah Zia Jaffry Al-Qadri Fadli Chishti Niazi Nizami (R.A.) — the joyful commemoration of a saint's Wisal, his union with the Beloved, kept with remembrance, Khatm Sharif, Chadar, Langar, and Mehfil. It falls on 16–17 Rabi al-Awwal — for it was on 16 Rabi al-Awwal 1393 AH (23 May 1973) that he attained his Wisal.

The Devotional Order

This year's programme

Two blessed days at the Darbar, each rising from Khatm Sharif and the presentation of the چادر شریف (Chadar Sharif), through لنگر شریف (Langar Sharif), into the Mehfil.

Day One · 30 August

۱۶ ربیع الاوّل — 16 Rabi al-Awwal

After Asr

Khatm-e-Qur'an — the formal opening

The Urs Sharif formally begins after the Asr prayer with a ختم قرآن پاک (Khatm-e-Qur'an), the complete recitation of the Holy Qur'an.

After Maghrib

Khatm-e-Ghawsia & Chadar Sharif

The Qadiri ختم غوثیہ (Khatm-e-Ghawsia) is offered, and the چادر شریف (Chadar Sharif) is presented with devotion and respect.

After Isha

Langar & Mehfil-e-Naat

لنگر شریف (Langar Sharif) is served, followed — in keeping with Qadiri tradition — by محفلِ نعت (Mehfil-e-Naat), the assembly of praise for the Prophet ﷺ. InshaAllah.

Day Two · 31 August

۱۷ ربیع الاوّل — 17 Rabi al-Awwal

The recitation

Khatm-e-Chishtia

The ختمِ چشتیہ (Khatm-e-Chishtia) is recited, honouring the Chishti line of the silsila.

Devotion

Chadar Sharif

The چادر شریف (Chadar Sharif) is again presented with devotion and respect.

After Isha

Langar & Mehfil-e-Sama

لنگر شریف (Langar Sharif) is served, and the محفلِ سماع (Mehfil-e-Sama) formally begins. InshaAllah wa bi-idhnillah.

Dates follow the Islamic (Hijri) calendar and may shift by a day with the moon sighting; the programme is confirmed and announced on the Darbar's official channels.
